Feeling Fabulous in Shoshanna

How is your weekend rolling? Feeling productive? Are you taking a time out from work? Are you getting a bit bougie, kind of like this dress I am sporting? I mean, you could be feeling fabulous in Shoshanna too!

I kid you not, every person who saw me in this dress could not get over it’s fabulousness! It was gorgeous on the hanger and turned into a Spring & Summer stunner upon wearing.

Over the last year, I have become a tad bit obsessed with the American fashion designer, Shoshanna, and, you guessed it, the looks really caught my eye while shopping at Sassanova. Her line of work spans beyond day and evening dresses BUT to tops, gorgeous swimwear & cover-ups and, I guess our new reality, face masks.

One of the things that I loved about this “Serafina” style dress is that it can be dressed up or down! I wore it with my Tory Burch Leather Flip Flops, and then spiced it up with the “Merin Mule” kitten heel from Sam Edelman.

I know, this girl boss was getting ballsy! Back to why I LOVE this dress! Beyond its multitude of colors – goes with ANYTHING – it has a feminine, ruffled neckline, billowing sleeves with elastic cuffs giving it a much more form fitted look for the upper body, and, of course, this smocked waist, and ruffled hem, give you the PERFECT silhouette.

My only complaint – getting into the darn thing. I wish you could step into it in lieu of pulling it over your head. While hair and makeup was a bit of a concern, it was more the slip posing an issue. I think it took me 4 times to get it right! I would have it on, only to not have one of my arms through the adjustable straps. Unfortunately, no wiggle room to adjust while on. I may have to invest in getting a zipper. I don’t want to be cursing this beauty every time I want to wear, or not want to deal with the effort so it continues to hang in my closet!

I mean, it’s all about feeling fabulous in Shoshanna afterall!

Oh, another heads up; I sized UP in this particular style. In fact, I was told this dress runs small, and most had to size up. Generally speaking, I wear a size 4; I needed to go to a 6; generally speaking, the brand is true to size.

Although I purchased in the midst of quarantine, it can easily be worn in the Summer (just pick a cool day or night)! I am excited to revisit the look in the Fall, and pair it with different shoes & accessories!

Cheers to the weekend! Make it an epic Sunday Funday!

xoxo
