*This post is in collaboration with Viscata! And you should, totally, be be saying that title to the tune of “I Got It From My Mama” by will. i. am. And if you are not familiar, listen to it ASAP! I wanted to give a HUGE shout-out to this AMAZING company – based in Barcelona, Spain – that has been a game changer in my wardrobe. While celebrities have been touting this brand for awhile, I was first “introduced” when I started seeing Kate Middleton sporting the company’s various styles in different photos. After being on the hunt for the perfect “heel” that was both casual, yet trendy, I knew I should order a pair of Viscata wedges to see what I thought (and after hearing such great reviews). Plus, channeling my inner Kate Middleton just makes me feel royal!
Needless to say, I fell in love, INSTANTLY, and knew that I would be owning more than one pair in my wardrobe. Just as their motto states, these really are “the world’s most comfortable espadrilles” that are handcrafted by local artisans. To be perfectly honest, the whole “espadrille” look has never been my thing. Don’t get me wrong, they are SUPER CUTE, but I never felt like they looked good on me. I always envied the gals with long legs that could pull them off no problem.
Me, I just felt like it made my athletic legs look more and more like tree trunks.
One of the things that I LOVE about this company is the fact they take their various shoe styles and apply an array of materials and colors to them. Case in point – I am a HUGE fan of the “Marquesa” pump. While I have a “Navy” pair in canvas, the fabulous team at Viscata gifted me the same pump in a suede “Camel” color. Same shoe with two, TOTALLY, different looks. Here is a picture of my latest kicks, and then, in the picture below, you can see the navy ones I am sporting. No judgement about my faded spray tan!
The next pair I am vying for are the pumps in “Diesel Black” leather which are still sold out but I am holding out hope!
One of the other styles I have are the “Lloret Canvas Wedges” in Denim. These are super cute to “pair” with shorts to make them feel a little dressier. Well, at least I did, and thought it made me feel extra bougie. In fact, I seem to wear my chambray shorts every time I want to slip these beauties on!
One thing I do recommend is to make sure you WEAR THEM! This will help “stretch them out!” Yes, the fabrics, definitely, make a difference but it’s amazing how much “bigger” my canvas ones feel right now compared to the suede. They are true to size but they do suggest that you go up 1/2 a size in their flats.
Okay, what are you waiting for? Go buy a pair, or two, or three. Did I mention they have a mens line as well?!?!
Happy Shopping, and Happy Friday too!
xoxo
