Sweet Elizabeth Jane: A Gem In Ellicott City

FacebookTwitterPinterestInstapaperEmailPrintShare

From the moment you step foot inside Sweet Elizabeth Jane, you may never want to leave! Located on historic Main Street in Ellicott City, this establishment has everything from unique home goods & gifts, to fashion, accessories, and more fashion!

I had the pleasure of visiting their space a few years ago. And, although they have moved and expanded, it was still as fabulous as I remember!

Today’s post is going to highlight all of the fashion finds on my recent trip to the boutique. I love when a store mixes affordable with high end, and keeps everything chic and trendy! Ahhh! There was so much to choose from but I went with items that I knew would compliment other accessories in my closet. Also, they were too stinkin’ cute NOT to purchase too!

Are you ready to do a little Sweet Elizabeth Jane shopping?!?!

Current Air

This is a side note – I cannot seem to find this dress anywhere to tag! The bummer is I love it so much! If it turns up, especially on the Sweet Elizabeth Jane site, I will make sure to fix and tag! Like most brands, they tend to sell certain pieces to various stores that are not shown on their site and/or that you cannot find anywhere else!

If you like this dress – I love it – then you will LOVE all the Current Air style ones too. This is the next one I am going to purchase! So whimsical, and that COLOR!

Another reason why I gravitated towards this “gem,” is the color is so different than what is trending in my closet right now. The crepe material of this sea foam green color is subtle, sophisticated, and cool! Another pieces to dress up or down and be worn right into the Fall. Hmm, I need to think of some fabulous jackets to go with this too!

And I could not help but tout this fabulous handbag designer – Mary Frances. When I saw this on the Matava Shoes social media, I, immediately, asked if it was still in stock! This “Fresh As A Daisy” beaded handbag packs a fashion punch. I feel like this is something Midge Maisel would carry in “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel” series. Maybe this is why I liked it so much! Another thing I love about it? The cherry wood handle is discreet and is the perfect wristlet too!

Multi Stripe V-Neck Jump Suit by Mystree

I have really gotten into jumpsuits over the last year and this one just seemed like a perfect transition from Summer into Fall, especially the colors. With a price point of $68, well, even better, right?!?!

This wrap style, plunging “keep it in place Janine,” neckline with a tie front waist gives length and is so flattering too! And who doesn’t want what they are wearing to be flattering?

Another awesome perk to this jumpsuit are the colors! A plethora to pair with – like these navy, suede, Sam Edelman Hazel Toe Pumps – and, again, it can go bright for Summer, or more neutral for Fall.

Dress Tiered Skirt by Blu Green

Finally, this outfit just screams FUN! It is light, cool, and gives that baby doll look with a sophisticated touch! Short sleeved, round neck, and tiered skirt make these HOT Summer nights a little more bearable and chic. Seriously, why has it felt like Palm Springs, minus dry and add in humid, in Baltimore as of late?

I paired it with one of my favorite gold Jeffrey Campbell slides from Matava Shoes in Baltimore but possibilities are endless! Oh, and guess what, it is ONLY $48. SCORE!

I hope this gives you a little inspiration that shopping local small businesses can, sometimes, come with the best finds! And, the next time you are in Ellicott City, make sure you check out Sweet Elizabeth Jane!

Happy Monday!

xoxo
