About

aka fit4janine

I am a tad bit obsessed with fashion, beauty, travel, entertaining, food, and a fabulous glass (or two) of champagne! Oh, and I may be a bit of a wellness guru too. Having been in the fitness profession for most, okay ALL, of my career, I wanted to share my passion for other interests & hobbies outside of my “squats, lunges, and push-ups” claim to fame.

I wanted to showcase the side of me – my “good side” of course – who is a fashionista, beauty connoisseur, travel nut, foodie, hostess with the mostess, and loves a good coffee shop & happy hour!

Hence my blog was born

A native from Baltimore, Maryland, I currently live in McLean, Virginia with my husband, Matt. When I am not sitting behind my laptop, you can find me hanging with my amazing family, working out, shopping & dining at the local hot spots, spa days, putting together my next travel itinerary, and living my BEST LIFE!

Because life is way too short to not live in the moment, enjoy what you have worked so hard for, and have super cute shoes too! Yes, I am still trying to convince my husband that the super cute shoes are an absolute MUST!

Questions

Can you share more about your fitness background?

Of course! I have been in the profession for 17 years and hold a B.S. in Exercise Science from Towson University. Additionally, I am a certified Personal Trainer and Health Coach through the nationally accredited American Council on Exercise (ACE) organization & a Level 1 nutrition coach through Precision Nutrition. In April 2014, I co-founded 2 Health Nuts – a company that specializes in wellness for the workplace. Make sure you check out the fitness section on my blog for my favorite workouts, wellness tips, and athletic wear!

Ready for it? PINK!

You may see this answer change frequently but, for now, I would have to say L’Agence and Misa Los Angeles are my favorite high end fashion brands, whereas Target is my current favorite for affordability.

Glo Skin Beauty’s Phyto-Active Conditioning Oil Drops – the absolute best!

My entire family are fans of the Briggs & Riley “Baseline” collection. So many options to choose from for all of your travel needs. Another reason why we love – it’s a great company to work with if you ever need a piece fixed/repaired!

Oh gosh, I feel like there are so many! My husband and I live in a pretty traditional, yet also very unique, home. While I feel it is important to keep its integrity, I am a huge fan of color, patterns, and not afraid of a little style showdown! Check out my Pinterest board to get a good sense of what I gravitate towards.

Homegoods and Anthropologie always seem to be at the top of my list.
