High Fashion Monday

High-Fashion

Happy, Happy Monday! Hope you had a fantastic week and, if you are off in honor of MLK Day, hope you are doing something fun. I am going to admit; one of my biggest pet peeves is not feeling productive. Today, I have not felt one iota of crossing stuff off my list. I managed to get in an eye doctor appointment, and then a much needed facial, and before I knew it, I am sitting in front of my computer at 3:00 pm. What’s feeling “right” is to talk a little high fashion today.

Generally speaking, high fashion has a few different meanings; some of which include “haute couture,” high style, and the latest & greatest in fashion. I have never been good at mixing and matching expensive and inexpensive. Let me rephrase; I absolutely can BUT I end up gravitating towards one extreme vs. the other. Another 2021 goal of mine is to do a better job of this and repurpose all of the beautiful clothes I have in my closet.

Let’s take a peek at this recent outfit I wore that feels super high fashion, yet combines various price point pieces – and styles for that matter – from my closet. See, I am really trying!

I would like to start with my favorite – this suede blazer from L’Agence. The moment I saw it back in the Fall, I just fell in love with it! The “Kenzie Double Breasted Blazer” in Cognac is an, essential, piece in anyone’s wardrobe. Yes, you are going to spend a little extra money but you will have this forever, and the possibilities are endless with how to create & recreate.

The “base” of my outfit consisted of another L’Agence piece – the “Aja” Turtleneck in ivory that is another MUST HAVE staple in your closet. I have worn this a handful of times over the last few months and it is amazing to see how many different ways I can pair it. I added these cute, pink utility pants to make take this so far, high fashion look and give it a modern, trendy appeal.

I topped it all off by adding my favorite Sam Edelman suede pumps to bring out the touch of color in the pants, and a matching velvet clutch. Although this clutch is no longer in stock, I did manage to find one that is very similar!

Here’s to kicking off the week with a little high fashion!

Cheers!

xoxo
