I am missing California like WOAH. Yes, you heard me – like WOAH. I am hoping that I am going to be getting back SOON. Like June. Maybe July. Happy Thursday, and “Thirsty Thursday” for that matter. That’s right, I am getting a little boozy today because it just feels needed. It’s been a long week and I am ready for the upcoming weekend, and one that involves a “Muddled Lemon Cocktail.” Actually, it is inspired by a California favorite!
The cocktail I am showcasing is a take on a Palm Springs favorite from the Parker Palm Springs – my version of their “Muddled Lemon Cocktail.” Refreshing, light, super easy to craft, and did I mention super boozy? Plus, it seems so fitting for this time of year too!
If you have not been to the Parker Palm Springs, I highly recommend you make it a destination to check out. I had the pleasure of staying there back in 2019 while attending a conference and I cannot wait to go back. In fact, I wrote a blog post on my stay so you can get the 411 on just how whimsical and magical this place really is, and how you will feel as though you are part of a modern Alice and Wonderland! Don’t worry, you will only be “tripping” over the decor, weather, and lush landscaping.
Take a peek at this boozy beauty that is something you will absolutely love! As always, you can customize based on your likes and preferences. I will say, though, that my favorite “boozy” combinations for this one are Deep Eddy Lemon Vodka and Pallini Limoncello. AND, if you want to keep your “mixer” clean, Zevia’s “Lemon Lime with Bitters” is the perfect compliment!
As always, have fun BUT drink responsibly and in moderation. These are easily drinkable; add lots of ice, have your water going too, and think about being under the palm trees in gorgeous Palm Springs!
xoxo
Muddled Lemon Cocktail
Ingredients
Instructions
In a cocktail shaker, shake vodka and limoncello; I keep my vodka in the freezer so I did not bother to shake over ice. Fill glassware about 1/2 - 3/4 of the way full with vodka/liqueur mix over LOTS of crushed ice! Fill the rest with the lemon/lime mixer. Stir, adorn with a lemon, and DRINK RESPONSIBLY!
