Happy Saturday gorgeous, and Happy July 4th weekend! Hope you are doing something amazing to ring in the red, white, and blue. It is crazy to think tomorrow is July 4th. The Summer is flying by, and I hope you are enjoying every minute of the FUN! Speaking of “fun,” something I would like to ask you is “how do you relax?” This is something that is really hard for me, and something that I am trying my best to work on…but did I mention it is really hard?
I, actually, just arrived in Corolla, North Carolina for a week of resting, relaxing, and recharging. Okay, and maybe some play too. Okay, and keeping my finger on the pulse with work too! I could not tell you the last time I was away for 4th of July week. It has been a long time, but I think it was needed (although very much on the fence with everything on my plate).
For the last few weeks, I have been on this roller coaster ride. Not sleeping, eating has been erratic, not feeling like I have been recovering quick enough from my workouts, and just on work overload. Trying to do everything and anything to try and make a buck. With anything, though, that rubber band can only get pulled so tight before it either breaks or goes right back to how it started.
And this is where I am right now. I think when people start commenting that they are “concerned,” I know I need to take a step back. So, that is what I am doing.
While I am keeping my finger on the pulse with work, I am going to take a bit of a backseat to refocus and re-energize myself. Because we all need it, and we all need to remind ourselves what we need to do to be the best version of our current selves!
