Afternoon You! Happy Saturday, and hope it involves doing something really freaking FUN! Are you getting your house decorated? What about your Christmas tree? Regardless of how you are spending it, I hope you are doing it with the ones you love, a good attitude, and with some Holiday cheer too! Today, I want to showcase a little fun I recently had at the St. Regis in Washington, D.C. Let’s just say that the outfit I am wearing to tout in this post ended up being very fitting with the location.
It makes me feel like a whole lot of Christmas!
The St. Regis in Washington, D.C. just exudes an air of luxury, richness, and all the pomp and circumstance of being in the area. From golds, greens, and plush reds, to ornate furniture, brass fixtures, and the warmth of wood and elegance of marble, this was right up my alley.
And J. Crew just seemed to FIT the bill too!
There is something so classy about an eyelet blouse – versatile with just about ANYTHING – and pleated skirts are becoming all the rage again. FYI: J. Crew is doing a “48% off everything for the next 48 hours.” Umm, SCORE.
You know what else is a score? THIS TOP! Not only is it on-sale BUT you get an, additional, 48% off for the next 48 hours. While there are only a handful of sizes left – 2 colors to choose – this “Mixed Embroidery Drapey Top” has romantic ¾ length sleeves and lined with a super cute cami too. Not only is this fabulous with the skirt I am about to talk about, but it would be casual-chic with a pair of denim or your favorite go-to pants as well!
This “Pleated Midi Skirt” in Academic Green comes in 5 other colors (one of which is on sale) and should be a staple in your closet this season. While this is NOT part of the 48% off sale, for $98, it is well worth it. The navy blue color is on sale and, well, that is just as stunning too. I may have to indulge! And, just as the J. Crew description states – “the secret to this skirt’s flattering fit? Its sunburst-style pleats, which lie flat at the waist for a clean, streamlined effect.”
Now, on to the accessories! Any guesses where this super cute clutch is from? I mean, I have only touted it before but in another color. Yes, you “guessed it,” Anthropologie! The “Jory Clutch” in Copper is the perfect complement to your ensembles this year. And, if you don’t “dig” the color, you have 9 others to choose from. Hell yes!
And, finally, THESE Sam Edelman “Yaro Ankle Strap Sandals” added the trendy (and modern) touch that the outfit needed. This versatile shoe has a super cute ankle strap that is set on a chunky, wrapped heel. Yes, that chunky heel gives you height and comfort at the same time. Okay, as “comfy” as a heel can get!
